The check-in app for veterinary clinics
A lobby with a nervous dog in it is a lobby you want to move through quickly. Acorn lets clients check in from wherever they are waiting, including the car, and shows your team a live list.
Replaces: A phone call from the parking lot, or standing at the desk.
What actually goes wrong
The lobby is a bad place to wait
Anxious animals do better in the car. Let the client check in by phone and wait outside without losing their place.
The desk is on the phone
Front desk is fielding calls while people stand there. A scan puts the arrival on the list without interrupting the call.
Techs cannot see the front
The people who need to know someone arrived are in the back. One shared link puts the same list on every screen.
How it works
- 01 Print the code. Stick it on the door. It is a QR that never changes, even if we change the URL behind it.
- 02 They scan it. A web page opens. They type a name and tap once. No app, no account.
- 03 You see them. A live list of names and how long each has waited. Tap a name to clear it.
Questions
Can clients check in from the car?
Yes. Anyone who can open the link can check in. Put the QR where they can scan it on the way in, or send them the link.
Does this integrate with our practice software?
No. Acorn is deliberately standalone. It answers whether someone has arrived, and hands off from there.
Can we text a client when we are ready?
Staff alerts work today. Texting the client back is built but not yet available in the US while carrier registration is sorted out.
How many locations can we run?
The system handles multiple locations. The current dashboard sets up one, with more coming.
What does it cost?
The live list, unlimited check-ins, and the QR code are free.
