AcornCheckIn

Visitor text alerts

A visitor scans a QR code at a business, types their name, and taps once to join the line. If they want a text when it is their turn, they tick a box and add their number. It is optional, it is off unless they tick it, and checking in works exactly the same without it.

The exact wording

A business that also asks for a Google review after the visit shows the second version, so nobody is asked for a review they were not told about. The version a visitor saw is recorded against their check-in.

Place in line, plus one review request

I agree to receive text messages from AcornCheckIn about my place in line, plus one review request afterward. No marketing. Msg and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

What gets sent

  • A confirmation that they are on the list.
  • A text when it is their turn.
  • Where the business has it switched on, one review request after the visit.

Nothing else. No marketing, ever. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.

Who sends them, and what we keep

AcornCheckIn (a product of PerfSpot LLC) is the sender. A visitor's phone number is used only to send the messages above and is deleted within 24 hours of their check-in. We never sell or share it. See our privacy policy and terms.

Businesses opting their own staff in to alerts is a separate program: staff text alerts.
