Clients arrive while every stylist is working. They hover, unsure whether anyone knows they are there. Scanning a code settles it in five seconds.
Early arrivals throw off the floor
A client fifteen minutes early is not a problem if you can see them waiting. It is a problem when you find out by looking up.
You lose track across stations
Different stylists, different chairs, one waiting area. One shared list means everyone sees the same order.
How it works
- 01 Print the code. Stick it on the door. It is a QR that never changes, even if we change the URL behind it.
- 02 They scan it. A web page opens. They type a name and tap once. No app, no account.
- 03 You see them. A live list of names and how long each has waited. Tap a name to clear it.
Questions
Does this replace our booking software?
No. Booking tells you who is coming. Acorn tells you who has actually arrived. They answer different questions and most salons need both.
Can each stylist see their own clients?
The list is per location, not per stylist. Everyone sees the same names and taps the one they are taking.
Do we need a tablet at the desk?
No. The client uses their own phone. You can open the staff list on anything with a browser.
What if a client will not use their phone?
Add them yourself from the same list, or keep greeting them the way you do now. Acorn is there for the times nobody is free.
Is there a cost per client?
No. Check-ins are unlimited and free. Only text alerts to staff have a monthly cap.
